The Golden Cup – Where Champions are Made

Featuring the best players from around the nation

As we reach the end of a quite interesting year, there is still something to look very much forward to. The All-American Golden Cup is confirmed for later this year on December 30th – January 2nd at the new Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples, Florida.

The Golden Cup consists of the top talent from our All-American Series events and around the nation. Players that stood out at All-American events were invited to participate in the Golden Cup and compete against other top talented players from around the country and the world. With COVID-19 causing several events to get canceled this year, Soccer Youth opened the opportunity for other players that couldn’t make our events to be nominated online for Golden Cup. Once selected, players receive the official selection email confirming that they have been chosen to attend the Golden Cup.

The Golden Cup is a 4-day event that includes skills challenges for all, All-Star Game selections, and our winner-takes-all tournament. The first day consists of an evaluation session, where players go through open play matches while coaches evaluate them and place teams for the tournament. Team practice sessions take place before pool play games that will start the following day. The following two days are filled with pool play games, player skills challenges, and our All-Star Games under the lights. One of the player skill challenges includes the Sharp Shooter Challenge testing players shooting accuracy, where each player has a certain amount of time to score as many goals in the top 2 or bottom 2 corners of the goal. The All-Star Games features the top Golden Cup players in each age group playing under the lights in the stadium at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex. The final day consists of tournament bracket play games, where teams compete in a knockout winner-takes-all tournament. Rankings for teams are based on results from their pool play games, and the winner will be named Golden Cup Champions. Players also compete for the Golden Ball, Golden Gloves, Golden Boot, and Lockdown Defender Awards that are awarded at the end of the tournament. All participating players receive the Golden Cup Kit which includes two jerseys, shorts, and a pair of socks.

The beautiful Paradise Coast Sports Complex is the home of this winter’s Golden Cup. Located in Naples, Florida, playing at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The 3500-seat stadium is set to open December 2020, so our event will be one of the first events to take place in the stadium! The stadium will also include a full video board, synthetic turf field, multiple party suites, and concessions. The complex also has multiple turf fields where the pool play games will be played, and a spot called The Cove where parents and players can go to relax in between games. The complex is truly the definition of paradise, and only the best will be joining us here!

This is an event you don’t want to miss out on. If feel like we might of missed out on a possible player for the Golden Cup, make sure you submit a nomination so your player has a chance to compete against the best of the best.
