Soccer Youth Event Team Leader

Overview:

As a successful Soccer Youth Event Team Leader, you will be responsible for the organization and completion of Soccer Youth event set up and event operations. This is a key component to making our Soccer Youth All-American Series events successful. This position will be held from May 30-September 3, 2023.

Our Soccer Youth brand gives individual youth soccer players the opportunity to represent their club and compete against other players from across the nation at amazing facilities in a tournament setting. Soccer Youth has become one of the most prestigious youth soccer events in the United States. Featuring the All-American Series events in over 18 national locations (United States and Canada) throughout the summer, players are given the opportunity to be selected as one of the TOP PLAYERS and be extended an invite to the premier event at the end of the year; the All-American Golden Cup in Naples, Florida and Mesa, Arizona.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing complete event setup duties, such as strategic locations of placing and organizing tents, flags, tables, banners, and other promotional items in a presentable fashion that accentuates our brand at our All-American Series Events throughout the whole event. Includes Check-In Area, Awards Area, Player Combine Area, and overall presentations around the fields and facility.
  • Organization of Awards Ceremonies
  • Assisting the Tournament Director in any needed operational tasks
  • Gain knowledge of and training in management, coaching, and working independently when assisting with tournament staff
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary customer service
  • Create a fun, dynamic atmosphere for participants, developing camaraderie and acting as a positive role model
  • Uphold the values and brand standards established by Soccer Youth
  • Be considered to work other Soccer Youth events at the conclusion of the summer, based on performance

Requirements:

  • Pursuit of a degree in Sport Management, Business, Marketing, etc. is preferred
  • Current/past soccer playing or coaching background in either high school or college (but not necessary)
  • An outgoing, friendly personality, initiative, and high level of energy
  • Prior experience working with children, exhibiting the ability to be patient and understanding
  • Ability and willingness to physically perform all job responsibilities

Working Conditions/Special Physical Requirements:

  • Regular lifting of heavy items of 20 pounds or more
  • Exposure to extreme heat or cold
